Citibank Korea, ‘Check Card Double Cashback Event’

SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--Citibank Korea announced various promotions for its check card, international check card, internet banking and credit card customers in order to help them spend smarter in the summer when outdoor and leisure activities increase.

‘A+ Check Card’ and ‘Save Check Card’ customers can enjoy a double cashback benefit if they spend 100,000 won more compared to their average spending. A+ Check Card currently offers cashback based on the previous month spending with a cap, but during the promotion period, customers will receive double the amount of cashback. For international check card users, if domestic spending is above 100,000 won and overseas withdrawal is more than 100 USD, a 10,000 won-worth department store gift certificate will be offered. 333 customers who send money via internet or mobile banking for 3 consecutive months will be given a pizza voucher while 1,000 mobile banking users will receive a Starbucks Coffee voucher. Credit card customers who newly open an A+ account within July will enjoy 2~3 month free EPP benefit.

A+ Check Card offers lunch discounts in all restaurants and up to 10% discount at gas stations, academies, hospitals and hypermarkets depending on the previous month spending. Save Check Card offers up 30% discount at Starbucks/Coffee Bean, 50 won/liter discount at S-Oil stations and up to 6,000 won discount at three major cinemas.

Citibank Korea is offering not only various fee waiver benefits but also a relatively high interest rate for its free receipt/payment deposit by raising the interest rate of A+ Account up to 4.5% per year for 3 months from May 2nd. The interest rates will vary depending on the deposit period: 0.1% annually(before tax) for 1 ~ 30 days of deposit, 4.5% annually(before tax) for 31~121 days and 3.3% annually(before tax) for over 121 days. Customers also subscribing for check card, international check card, internet banking and credit card when opening an A+ Account, can enjoy high interest rate as well as various features offered by each of these products.
