Citi Card joins the New Hope project with Citi card customers
SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--Citibank Korea, Inc. (CEO Ha Yung Ku, www.citibank.co.kr) announced that together with Citi card customers who donated their Citi points, it joined the ‘New Hope’ project led by Habitat for Humanity Korea.
The event is a part of Citi Card’s community activity for which 30 Citi Card customers who signed up via Citi Card Donation Program were invited to join the Habitat for Humanity Korea’s efforts in home building activity and make this summer more meaningful.
From May to October every year, Habitat for Humanity Korea offers volunteers opportunities to join its New Hope project. This year, Citi Card customers took part in this meaningful home building project for families in need.
CKI was the first company in Korea to form a partnership with Habitat for Humanity Korea back in 1998. Since then, 800 Citi employees have volunteered for the New Hope project and 100 employees and their families have helped community residents build homes.
CKI Executive Vice President, Iqbal Singh said, “By participating in the home-building project with our Citi Card customers, we wanted to make a wonderful memory for all of us and not just an one-off event”.
Citi Card customers can use their Citi points to donate to Habitat, Unicef, Korea Breast Cancer Foundation etc. via Citibank homepage (www.citibank.co.kr) or CitiPhone(1566-1000). If Citi points are not enough, donation can also be made using Citi Card.
