Ildo Biotech Participates in Preparation of Certification Standard for Renewable Energy in Wood Pellet Boiler

GOYANG--(Korea Newswire)--Renewable energy specializing company Ildo Biotech(CEO Woong-Jin Lee, www.ildobiotech.com) revealed that it “will be jointly participating in development of Korean-type boiler and improvement of heat efficiency of wood pallet boiler based on the certification standards for renewable energy equipment conducted by Renewable Energy Center under Korea Energy Management Corporation of Ministry of Knowledge and Economy.”

In case of wood pellet boiler, there has been no certification standard so that the components and functions were all different for each company, thus making follow-up control difficult, and this also caused a lot of discomfort for customers. Accordingly, Ildo Biotech participates in this certification project which is a part of the forest science technology development business along with Korea Institute of Energy Research, and will complete the development of Korean-type boiler and improve heart efficiency for wood pellet boiler until March 2012.

Included in the major stipulations of the certification technology standard of wood pellet hot-water boiler are that automatic cleaning must be available for the recleaning of fire gate and flue, and when closing the stovepipe of the exhaust gas emission part of the boiler, it must automatically stop within 2 minutes. The emission standard of exhaust gas shall be strengthened to below O₂ 10%, CO 300ppm, NOx 150ppm, Smoke No. 4.0, and the boiler efficiency must be over 85% (low position).As for the most important backfire-preventive device, at least one or more must be able to operate in case of blackout (power failure).

To this wood pellet boiler certification standards, long-term stability test was added; the property and exhaust gas temperature, component and such must not significantly change, and the fire gate auto-cleaning device must operate regularly and normally to pass.
