WONJU--(Korea Newswire)--A dental equipment manufacturer located within Wonju Medical Equipment Industrial Technology Complex, Maruchi Co., Ltd. (CEO Sung-Wook Jang, www.endocem.com) is developing dental equipment for simpler, safer, and faster treatment.

Having converted to a corporation in 2008, Maruchi constructed a clean room at the Wonju headquarters for the consistent production of all products, and established an affiliated research institute within the Hongneung Venture Complex under KIST in 2010, now developing mainly MTA products.

The endocemMTA, developed in 2008, is the representative product of Maruchi.

MTA (medication inducing regeneration of hard tissues such as teeth) is physically stable and has excellent long-term sealing effect and biofriendliness, thus being very effective in preventing bacterial infection from pulp exposure due to trauma or during removal of dental caries, but has operability, takes long to harden, and expensive so that it was not used very much.

EndocemMTA compensates for such existing weaknesses of MTA, making it easy to use due to high viscosity for usability and hardening in a short time span of 3 minutes and 15 seconds, and therefore has the advantage that it takes only one visit for the whole operation.
