SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA--(Korea Newswire)--Logicplant, a mobile solution provider, launched uZard Pop, the first-in-industry remote PC solution that is installed with the Wake On WAN function, in the global market.

The Wake On WAN is a unique technology that can remotely turn on and off a PC in sleep mode through the Internet, and Logicplant holds related patents. The existing Wake On LAN technology allows users to turn on and off PCs on local networks only, and they need to install a separate Internet connection-sharing router when they want to do the job through the Internet. And vPro, another technology of turning on and off a PC, is limited to be used in the hardware designed for that purpose. But the Wake On WAN can resolve all these shortcomings. The Wake On WAN allows PC users to reduce consumption of electric power as they can simply turn on and off PCs remotely when they need to do so.

Another strength of uZard Pop is the tight integration of remote control PC web browser. It provides such environment as though users execute the Internet Explorer in the smart phone by remotely controlling the Explorer in PC. Users can surf the Web in smart phones as though they use Web browser installed in smart phones. And in such case, they can use functions that are provided in PCs only. Some functions provided in PCs only include ActiveX, attachment of files stored in PCs, execution of flash in iOS, and viewing of Web sites that optimally operate in the Internet Explorer only. It is a very exciting experience to use these functions through touch interface of smart phones. Smart phone users also can use the list of bookmarks as they do in PCs.

It also fully meets expectations in other functions that can be anticipated from general PC remote control solutions. The display speed is proper, and virtual mouse provides favorable functions. Working smoothly, the keyboard can support even complicated letters like Korean characters without any trouble.

Logicplant said that uZard Pop will evolve into a mobile solution that enables to use remote control PC as a media center, surpassing the realm of remote PC solution. It will be integrated with the function of streaming and viewing videos stored in PCs, and it will allow smart phone users to conveniently view document files stored in PCs as though they use smart phone viewers.

In addition, it will also continue tight integration with PC applications. The company will provide Outlook to be used as a smart phone interface, following the Internet Explorer. Then, smart phone users can use functions that are provided by PC e-mail clients only as though they use smart phone e-mail clients. They will be able to read past e-mails stored in PCs, and open large attached files without difficulty. Also, they can attach the file stored in a PC to their smart phone e-mail without downloading the file to the smart phone.

The company released uZard Pop on May 22 in Google Play Store for free. It will be launched in Apple's App Store in coming June.
