XL Co., Ltd. applied for patents of stationary anode X-ray tube for medical use and monotank

WONJU--(Korea Newswire)--XL Co., Ltd. (CEO Rae Jun Park), a manufacturer of X-ray tube, applied for patents of stationary anode X-ray tube for medical use and stationary anode X-ray tube monotank that can be fitted with this on September 18.

X-ray tube refers to a device that emits X-rays through colliding with the material after making the electron beam moving at a faster rate. It is an important part in determining the performance of medical diagnosis and application system. It is used in diagnostic equipment, research analysis equipment, etc. that require precision technology such as non-destructive testing, environmental analysis, semiconductor process, etc.

The performance, exposed dose and quality of video for X-ray tube vary depending on the vacuum state. The stationary anode X-ray tube for medical use has the vacuum vessel of 10-9torr; thereby, being able to maintain an ultra-high vacuum conditions that can avoid the collisions between particles and do vacuum exhaustion (eliminating this by detecting the gas) using multiple X-ray tubes at the same time.

Even if the gas, generated in the filament when the rated electricity (power to operate) is generated, integrates with the residual gas, the non evaporable getter in X-ray tube will maintain the performance and functionality in a stable manner.

In addition, it is able to measure the total pressure, the kind of gas in the residual gas and its composition ratio related to the quality of the vacuum using a mass spectrometer. And it quantifies the vacuum process since it knows the pressure of oxygen (O2).

It improved the quality of X-ray through reducing the rise time and the down time in the time for which the adjustment amount reached the stable value when the setting value varied during the period of X-ray investigation. And it could reduce the exposed dose by 30 percent and extend the lifetime of X-ray tube through shortening the imaging time.

Moreover, the stationary anode X-ray tube monotank, another patent to be applied, is the case for X-ray generator developed by XL Co., Ltd. to increase the efficiency of heat dissipation.

Since it is not necessary to have a high voltage cable as X-ray tube and high-voltage generator are equipped in the monotank, the structure of the X-ray generating part gets simple; thereby, adding more convenience in operating the equipment. It also improved the quality of X-ray through solving the problems of power loss and operation delay.

“We expect that the stationary anode X-ray tube and monotank, which were recently applied for patents, will be utilized in precision equipment for medical use such as medical treatment and diagnostic equipment, research analysis equipment like medical microscope through our superior technologies,” Rae Jun Park, CEO of XL Co., Ltd. said. “We will to try to develop continuously X-ray tube and monotank type to meet the improvement of video quality due to the generalization of the spread of digital detector.
